As they surged for the eighth consecutive day on Thursday, the Indian markets set new records and joined a positive trend in global markets. The growth of the Indian economy slowed to 6.3% in the third quarter of FY23.
The S&P BSE Sensex increased by 243 points to a level of 63,342 at 11:47 IST, the barometer index. S&P BSE Mid-Cap also gained 130 points and is now at a level of 26,081 in the larger market. The Small-Cap index also increased by 278 points and is now trading at 29,797 levels.
The Nifty 50 index increased somewhat, rising 65 points to trade at 18,824. The Bank Nifty also increased by 136 points, reaching a high of 43,367. The three most actively traded companies on the Nifty50 index today were Tata Steel, ONGC, and Coal India.
On November 30, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) proved to be the net purchasers of shares worth 9.010.41 crores while foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) proved to be the net sellers of shares worth Rs 4,056.40 crores.
