The major market indexes continued to post reasonable gains throughout the morning session in line with positive global trends. Except for the Nifty FMCG index, all other sectoral indexes on the NSE were down.
The S&P BSE Sensex is now trading at 62,724 levels as of 10:50 IST, with respectable gains of 191 points. The S&P BSE Mid-Cap has risen 119 points to 26,358 in a similar manner. To reach 29,947, the Small-Cap index increased by 162 points.
At 18,668 levels, the Nifty 50 index is now up 60 points. Additionally gaining 130 points, the Bank Nifty is presently trading at a level of 44,076.
On December 13, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) and foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) both came out to be the net buyers of shares, with a combined value of Rs 619.92 crore and Rs 36.75 crore.
