The major market indices suffered slight losses in morning session amid gloomy global indications. The benchmark interest rate was increased by the U.S. Federal Reserve by 50 basis points to 4.50 percent, the highest level in 15 years.
The S&P BSE Sensex is down 323 points as of 11:03 IST, trading at 62,354 levels, according to the barometer indicator. The S&P BSE Mid-Cap has also had a minor dip, falling just 4 points to 26,388 levels. On the other side, the Small-Cap index increased by 85 points and is currently trading at 30,071.
The Nifty 50 index is currently trading at 18,674 levels, marginally up 66 points. Additionally rising 122 points, the Bank Nifty is presently trading at a level of 44,069.
On December 14, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) and foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) both showed net purchases of shares of Rs 926.45 crore and Rs 372.16 crore, respectively.
