On Friday, the main indices were trading lower amid turbulence. 1,396 shares have increased, 1,986 have decreased, and 142 have remained unchanged.
BSE Sensex was trading negatively at 12:45 IST, down approximately 392.82 points or 0.65% at a level of 59,960.45, and Nifty-50 was trading similarly, down approximately 119.90 points or 0.675% at 17,872.25.
NTPC Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, and Reliance Industries Ltd were the top BSE Sensex gainers, while Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, Bajaj Finance Ltd, and Bajaj FinServ Ltd were the top BSE Sensex losers.
The Varde Partners-Arena consortium was the highest bidder after submitting a revised offer on Thursday that included an additional cash component of Rs 3,600 crore for the two Srei group entities involved in the insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings. With a total bid of more than Rs 14,000 crore, including bonds, OCDs, stock, and up-front cash, the Varde-Arena consortium has submitted the highest offer.
