The key Indian indexes closed the trading day on a stronger note on Wednesday at 12:50 p.m. The BSE Sensex Index was up about 329 points or 0.54 percent at a level of 60,614.37, and the NSE Nifty-50 Index was up approximately 123 points or 0.69 percent at 17,843.80. 1,871 of the shares are up, 1,483 are down, and 152 are unchanged.
The top BSE Sensex Index gainers and losers are as follows:
Axis Bank Ltd, Bharti Airtel, and Larsen & Toubro Ltd were the top Sensex losers, while Ultratech Cement Ltd, Infosys Ltd, and Bajaj Finance Ltd were the top Sensex gainers.
The BSE Midcap Index and BSE Small-Cap Index each increased by 0.76 percent and 0.62 percent, respectively, as part of the wider market indexes.
