The S&P 500 increased by 0.85 percent, the Nasdaq Composite increased by 1.58%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased by 0.14 percent.
The Sensex and Nifty each opened 0.25 percent higher at 9:30. The Nifty Mid-Cap and Nifty Small-Cap have also started the day with gains of 0.52 and 0.79 percent, respectively.
Nifty IT, Nifty Realty, and Nifty Metal are among the Top Gainers, whilst Nifty Energy, Nifty Pharma, and Nifty Media are among the Top Losers.
Hindalco, Infosys, and HCL Tech are some of the top gainers from the Nifty 50 index, while Power Grid, Apollo Hospitals, and HDFC Life are some of the top losers.
With over 1434 stocks advancing and 419 decreasing, the number of advancing stocks is greater than the number of declining stocks. This suggests that the market as a whole is feeling upbeat.
On July 13, shares worth Rs 2,237.93 crore were purchased by foreign institutional investors (FII), whereas shares worth Rs 1,196.68 crore were sold by domestic institutional investors (DII).
